Feel Great By Practicing Kindness

Let’s learn how to get out of our own heads and feel good by doing kind acts for others.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we were often rewarded, noticed, and encouraged?

Well, before you think this activity is for you, it’s not.

One of the best ways we can feel better ourselves is to notice others and extend to them what we’d like ourselves.

What would you like to hear from others when you’re feeling low, tired, discouraged, or on the negative side? 

It’s probably what others might want to hear too.

Sometimes, being ‘seen’ is enough.

Mentally take a tour of your life and see who is working hard, feeling discouraged, and remaining unseen.

Put yourself in their shoes.

For example, maybe there’s a neighbor of yours to whom no one ever says “hello”. 

Find three people who would need a letter of encouragement or recognition.

Why not write it for them?

You can also do it anonymously. It can be as simple as saying, I see you, hang in there.

Do one now and the others this week.

Notice how you feel after and repeat it whenever you need a boost.
